Is COVID-19 anticipating the future? Evidence from investors’ sustainable orientation

In this paper, we discuss the attractiveness of green and sustainable assets, from an investor perspective. Inspired by current state art, with researchers positively (re)considering added value stocks associated fulfilment development goals, analyze whether such demonstrated: (1) a different (2) outperforming dynamic during various stages COVID-19 pandemic. particular, examine sustainable-indexed assets companies fully bio-based production system, against counterfactual group non-indexed activities operating in same sectors. Asset connectivity is investigated means correlation network, portfolio optimization applied to measure profitability. The results show: fewer connections between “rest world,” suggesting that, given their potential long-term resilience, investors might consider them capable mitigating systemic risk, therefore valid investment hold; effectiveness profitability portfolios.
